Aquarian Dreams presents Sound Medicine: Sound Practitioner Certification & Singing Bowl Training on Sunday, October 19 at 10 a.m. This full-day immersive workshop is led by meditation teacher & singing bowl specialist Anthony Profeta and includes both lecture and hands-on experiential practice in the healing power of sound.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of sound and its effects on the body, mind and soul, while learning practical tools for self-care or professional use. “Sound is a form of energy that affects people in many different ways,” says Profeta. “We invite you to come and discover how to incorporate sound into your existing healing practices and learn how energy, frequency and vibrations can affect physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states.”

The workshop includes an introduction to the energetic body and how sound affects it, as well as vocal toning, tuning forks and various types of singing bowls. Participants will learn how to use these tools to shift energy, support deep meditation and promote emotional release. “Sound-wave frequencies have the ability to break up blocked or stagnant energy, stuck emotions and affect us in many profound ways,” says Profeta. Instruction will also cover how to use singing bowls in private practice, sound baths or integrated into yoga and meditation classes.

This training is open to all levels of experience and no singing bowls are required to attend. Space is limited.
