Tibetan Heart Yoga at Aquarian Dreams in Indialantic

On May 7 from 10 a.m. to noon, Aquarian Dreams will host Craig Costello, BS, ERT-200, of New World Wellness to lead an introductory class on Tibetan Heart Yoga.

The class will explain this practice that blends meditation and concentration practices with mantra, chanting and yoga philosophy. Participants will learn about Tibetan Heart Yoga’s postures and meditation techniques as forms of moving meditation, do a traditional Tibetan Heart Yoga sequence and receive a handout of the sequence for future practice.

Tibetan Heart yoga works on the heart in two ways: it makes the outer physical body healthy and strong (through postures/asana practices) and it opens the heart to love others unconditionally (through loving kindness giving meditations). The most important difference between this yoga tradition and others is one’s focus during the practice, which is completely heart centered on others instead of on oneself.

The practice of Tibetan Heart Yoga creates a strong foundation and anchor to the idea that in giving we receive. It’s an ancient art of yoga that originated in India more than 1,000 years ago, combining traditional Buddhist meditation with the Indian form of yoga.

For more information or to register, call 321-729-9495 or visit AquarianDreams.com/special-events. Participants should bring a yoga mat. Cost is $35. Aquarian Dreams is located at 414 N. Miramar Ave (Hwy A1A) in Indialantic.
