Brevard Humane Society Hosts Gala Fundraiser in Cocoa

The Brevard Humane Society will be hosting their 11th Annual Tuxes and Tails Gala on Saturday, August 27th, at the Space Coast Convention Center from 5:30 to 9 p.m. This year’s event, hosted by the Wasdin family, celebrates Brevard Humane Society’s 70 years of helping thousands of homeless animals in our community and beyond.

Master of Ceremonies Mindy of Lite Rock 99.3 FM will be joined by auctioneer Brevard County Sherriff, Wayne Ivey. This year’s entertainment includes a private performance by the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse players, legendary band Hot Pink, and a special pet exhibition. The “Big Bling” drawing, sponsored by Jon’s Fine Jewelry and buffet dinner round out the evening, with recognition of the “Humane Heroes” in the community.

The Humane Society educates the community on responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals, advocates for spaying/neutering to reduce the homeless pet population and provides quality care to Brevard County’s abandoned animals by placing them with responsible, caring owners in forever homes.

Sponsorship packages for the gala are available at all levels for individuals and businesses.
