Budding Herbalist Program Launches in January at Herbs & Owls in Jupiter

Herbs & Owls: is offering a new program to teach participants how to confidently select and use herbs for themselves and with family and friends.

The Budding Herbalist Program, taught by Gina Kearney, Clinical Herbalist and Flower Essence Practitioner, is designed for those that have discovered that plants have much to offer. “Maybe you met someone who shared information or maybe you used them to heal yourself or a loved one, or maybe you just have a curiosity that won’t subside,” says Kearney.

Students will connect deeply with plants through a course that includes an introduction to Herbal Medicine and its principals, the art of blending and making tea, herbal plant profiles, herbs for the different systems of the body, nourishing tonics, kitchen remedies, and much more.

The classes will begin January 24 and meet weekly on Mondays through March 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program consists of 8, 3-hour classes for a total of 24 hours of instruction. Certificates of Completion are awarded once all course hours and assignments are completed, and students receive a 10% discount in the Herb Shop and on community classes.
