Hoot in the Park 2021 Benefitting Florida Wildlife Hospital and Sanctuary

Everyone is invited to attend Hoot in the Park 2021on Saturday, November 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wickham Park. This pet- and family-friendly event will include live animals, vendors, raffle items, photos with your dog, and a lure course for dogs.

Since 1973, Florida Wildlife Hospital (FWH) has rescued, rehabilitated, and released thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned native Florida animals in Brevard County. Their mission is to keep wildlife wild by providing quality, compassionate care.

FWH is available 365-days-a-year to admit wildlife patients. They care for more than 5,000 patients per year without state or federal funding. FWH is the only facility of its kind in the area. Since most of the wild animals brought to their clinic suffer from injuries or problems caused by humans, they not only aim to help animals in need, but to educate the public on how they can reduce their impact on local wildlife.

Wickham Park is located at 2500 Parkway Dr, Melbourne. FWH, 4560 N. US Highway 1, Palm Shores. 321-254-8843. FloridaWildlifeHospital.org. Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and after-hours drop-off from 4:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.
