Fun Day at Inaugural Fit Fest and 5K Color Run in Stuart

Volunteers in Medicine Clinic Inaugural Fit Fest is a family-friendly, wellness fair and 5K Color Run (or Color Walk for those so inclined) is scheduled for Saturday October 23, at Flagler Park in downtown Stuart. The fair will feature over 35 local health and fitness organizations, a month-long virtual-ish scavenger hunt and the 5K. Kimberly Perron, Donor Relations Manager explains, “Visitors will be able to participate in fun fitness demonstrations, get healthy cooking ideas, and learn about health services available for skincare, hearing, nutrition, dental care, primary care, insurance, and more, straight from the sources.”

The morning will kick-off early with a 5K Color Run/Walk through downtown Stuart. As participants pass through stations, colored powder will be tossed on to their shirts, leaving them with a tie-dyed appearance and giving a celebratory feel to the event.

All proceeds will benefit Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, which provides free medical care to low-income adults without insurance or ability to pay. “Your support of VIM Clinic gives the gift of health to someone in need,” says Perron.

Cost: Wellness Fair Entry is free. Race registration is $35. To learn more about VIM Fit Fest or to sign up for the 5K Color Run/Walk, visit VIMClinic.org. For questions, call 772-463-4128, x211 or email [email protected].
