Massage Therapist Continuing Education Offered in Sebastian
Synergy Institute Holistic Wellness Center is hosting continuing education opportunities for Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) in February.
Two workshops will be offered by Pete Whitridge, BA, LMT. The first, “BIG 3” - Ethics, Florida Law, Prevention of Medical Errors will include issues such as client/therapist relationships, working with the disabled and differently abled populations, appropriate touch and draping issues, filing a complaint against an unethical or dangerous practitioner and preventing medical errors and injuries to your clients. The second, Myofascial Components of Low Back and Leg Pain will give participants the opportunity to refine touching skills, gain new confidence, deepen knowledge of anatomy and fascial structures, teach clients to work with you, eliminate chronic pain by working below the client’s pain threshold, slow down, focus attention and be more effective with less effort. Each of these workshops awards 18 CEUs for LMTs.
Kumari Mullin will lead a Reiki Level I & II Workshop. Reiki has been documented to relax muscles, still the mind and ease pain. Hands-on treatment has been scientifically proven to accelerate healing. Many health professionals are effectively incorporating the use of Reiki into their individual practices. This workshop awards 14 CEUs for LMTs.
