Joanna Helms, Registered Herbalist and Professional member of the American Herbalists Guild (AHG), has created more than a local herb store. Mama Jo’s Sunshine Herbals shares a community passion for Traditional Herbalism. All visitors are welcome to stop by, browse the herbal products and other specialty gifts, while enjoying a delightful cup of herbal tea. Those who frequent Mama Jo’s enrich the relaxing and social atmosphere.

What sets the herbal atmosphere apart is the onsite Herbal Apothecary. “All herbal products are handmade on the premise to allow for the highest integrity,” explains Joanna. Mama Jo’s offers a wide variety of bulk herbs, handmade herbal products (culinary, teas, tinctures, lotions, salves, and soaps), custom formulations, essential oils, and herbal supplies. When questions arise, Mama Jo’s herbal trained staff willingly shares their knowledge. To determine a specific herbal plan, Joanna offers private consultations. The in-depth consultation provides a personal herbal protocol to achieve well-being.

In response to great demand, Joanna authored a customized herbal course “Fundamentals of Herbalism.” The course delivers a deeper understanding of the art and science of medicinal herbs, as well as their applications. Joanna presents herbal workshops and presentations throughout Florida.
