Local Edible and Medicinal Plants Detailed in New Book

Susan Keiffer, Master Herbalist and Iridologist has just finished her latest book, Wild Edibles for Survival and First Aid (subtitled The Diary of a Walk-In: Your Personal Wake-Up Call).

This book includes 100 plants that Keiffer feels are most important to know about, including all the ones in the local area. This means not only what can be eaten, but what can be used for healing and first aid. The book includes more than 300 color photos, as well as recipes and the top ten most important medicinal herbs to plant in the garden, a section on poisonous plants and edible flowers in addition to survival skills for using plants to find water and more.

Keiffer is the author of Closer to the Sun: A Recipe Book for Health for the Next Evolutionary Phase of Mankind, and the recent Sustainability: Is the Earth Dying? YouTube video and presentation. Keiffer has recently allowed the release of her first book, The Diary of a Walk-In for those interested in the spiritual beginning that drives and guides Keiffer.
