10th Turtle Splash Fundraiser

The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project announces the 10th Anniversary Turtle Splash fundraiser to be held on Saturday, May 3, at Ryckman Park in Melbourne Beach. Funds raised will help continue to assist children with special health care needs and physical disabilities. The project has already expanded the Quality-of-life support programs by opening “Morgan’s Place,” a unique center designed especially for these children.

The Turtle Splash will be one of the highly popular events at the Founder’s Day Celebration, with 4,500 numbered plastic turtles that have been “adopted” into the race being launched to course in the river. Prize packages are awarded to people who adopted the winning turtles.

The celebration will also include a 5K run, talent show, trickster race, surfing contest, fishing contest, antique car display, food pavilion, inflatable houses and a bocce ball contest. There will also be arts and crafts, live music and food for the expected crowd of thousands.

The Morgan Project is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit charity dedicated to providing support, resources, and gently used disability equipment to the parents of chronically ill children with physical disabilities. Based in Florida, they serve families nationwide, regardless of diagnosis. For more information visit The MorganProject.org. Find out more about the event at TurtleSplash.org.
