Instructor Jill Campbell Visits Thee House of Yoga
Thee House of Yoga welcomes Jill Campbell who will be teaching workshops in January. Visiting from Montreal, Jill works with concrete alignment and meticulous sequencing to explore the possibilities of the body. Her style is strongly rooted in flow, and complimented by hatha and restorative practice.
Campbell will offer The WholeBODY Backbend on Saturday, January 18th from 9-11:30 a.m. This class will debunk some of the fallacies and fictions about backbends. “We will use alignment and understanding to help move deeper into vulnerable places with confidence and stability,” says Campbell. During the afternoon from 2-4:30 p. m. she will offer Hips-A-Lot. This class will concentrate on hip opening using great presence and breath. In this workshop students will work smoothly into softening and strengthening and look at mental techniques that can be used to access the seemingly inaccessible.
The AcroYoga session, Foundations to Flight will be held on Sunday, January 19th from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. AcroYoga teaches skills and conditioning so that participants can explore technique and then use the tools to find their own expression. This is a practice for everyone. “Get stronger while playing, make friends while flying, soften and stretch while supporting,” says Campbell.
