Introduction to the Guru Tradition Workshop

Kashi School of Yoga presents: Introduction to the Guru Tradition workshop, with three of Kashi’s Swamis on Saturday, July 13, from 1-3 p.m. The teachings at Kashi Ashram stem from the guru tradition. “The word guru means “dispeller of darkness,” or one who brings us into the light. As a catalyst and a mirror, the guru helps us find our way to the guru within,” says Swami Anjani. “Spiritual work is difficult, and there is deep inner work in following this tradition. To remove all that stands in our way of realizing our true self means ridding ourselves of the lower ego and its attachments.”

“Although the guru of Kashi’s lineage, Ma Jaya, is no longer in form, guru's love is a substance that one can feel at any given moment,” says Swami Anjani. “It is not that one worships the guru; we respect where the guru has been, and what we can learn in the moment.” Ma said, “To become aware of the inner guru is to walk the path of the heart, live your lives, and serve others in the divine name of God, filled with joy and bliss.”

Workshop cost is $25. Kashi School of Yoga is located at 11155 Roseland Road in Sebastian. For more information call 772-589-1493 or visit Kashi.org
