The Basics of Acro Yoga
Jun 21, 2013 04:27PM
Thee House of Yoga presents "AcroYoga 101: The Basics" on Friday and Saturday, July 5 and 6. Jenna Lomazzo, owner, and Shana Punim will host the workshop.
The workshop will teach how to support a partner in AcroYoga: lifting them up to fly or balancing on them to soar. Participants will ease into lifting each other up with proper alignment while learning strategies for safe spotting, basing, and flying. “The bottom line is finding a fun, playful approach to this acrobatic practice,” says Lamazzo.
No partner necessary and all levels are welcome at this intro workshop, which will start with yoga stabilizers and core strengtheners. “Participants will learn new body awareness upside down and most of all have fun!” says Lamazzo.
Workshop will be held Friday, July 5, in the studio from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 6, at Gleason Park (the north end), from 1-4 p.m. Thee House of Yoga, 412 5th Ave, Indialantic. 321-652-9642. To sign up, call or register at TheeHouseofYoga.com.
