Sea Turtle Preservation Society Art Contest

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society is holding an art contest themed “Helping Sea Turtles Survive” for school age students in grades pre-K to 12 with 3 divisions (Pre-K to 3rd, 4th-7th and 8th-12th). Artwork will be accepted from Friday, May 31 until 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9. Entries must be turned in to the Sea Turtle House.

Each entry can be a drawing or painting that is 12x15 inches and must include a suggestion about how to help sea turtles survive. On the back of the artwork be sure and print: name of artist, address, phone, email address, and grade. Please add if you want to keep or donate your art work. The judging criteria are originality of the art and the message.

Top winner in each category will receive a turtle tee-shirt and a first place certificate. Twelve additional certificates will be awarded for outstanding work. Winners will be announced during the open house celebrating World Sea Turtle Day at noon on Sunday June 16.
