Local Farm Caters to Health Conscious Consumers

Almost six months ago, Florida Fields to Forks began its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program with the desire to provide local nutritious and clean foods to the community. Now with over 140 members, and growing daily, they cater to those people who understand the lack of nutrition in so much of the food we eat.

Florida Fields to Forks partners with ranchers and farmers throughout Florida to provide grass-fed, beyond organic, and locally raised, meats, poultry, vegetables, eggs, dairy products and more to its members. They are the first farm in the area to offer both grass-fed meats and poultry, along with vegetable and fruit crops. Food selections are made from the farm’s website and member’s orders are picked up twice a month at the local farm.

Structured to provide the ultimate health benefits that eating clean, nutritious, antibiotic- and hormone-free, grass-fed meats and poultry and organically raised fruits and vegetables provide, the owners of Florida Fields to Forks believe our bodies are what we eat. “It just makes sense to get to know the people who raise and grow the foods we eat,” states Jan Pence. “If you eat foods that are grown, or raised, on nutrient-rich soil, then your body can benefit from those same nutrients.”

The farm is located at 1200 Corey Road just off Malabar Rd between I-95 and US 1. For more information visit www.floridafieldstoforks.com or call 321-431-7259.
