Wanted: Veterans with PTSD
Sep 28, 2011 09:28PM
The David Lynch Foundation and Operation Warrior Wellness are looking for veterans, active and non-active military, who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The organizations have a technique that will help and there is scholarship money available for interested veterans.
Research indicates that 50% of the PTSD symptoms can be relieved after two months of the regular practice of Transcendental Meditation. “Most veterans find that they are sleeping better and feeling better. Many health issues, mental and physical, improve,” explains Randy Mackenzie. “Because 20-30% of the veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan have PTSD, this is an important and helpful program.”
Veterans or family members of veterans can contact Randy Mackenzie at 772-539-7557 for details on the next free introductory talk and how to participate in the program. Visit www.davidlynchfoundation.org/military for details. To view artwork by David Lynch visit Artsy.net/artist/David-Lynch.
