The laundry detergent business is a 6 billion dollar a year industry in the United States, which translates to over 140 million boxes of detergent. Mix this detergent with an average of 25-30 gallons of water per load and it equals over 333 billion gallons of water. When this water leaves our washing machines it contains dirt and chemicals that are hard on our septic systems, flows into our rivers, streams, oceans, and ground water. Plus, millions of used laundry boxes enter our land fills. So what are we to do? New technology is now available that eliminates the need for detergent, kills germs without bleach, and helps to eliminate allergic reactions due to detergent residue. Plus, by not using hot water it saves money and the environment.
