Free Transcendental Meditation Introduction
Apr 04, 2011 05:41PM
Randy Mackenzie will give a free introductory talk on Transcendental Meditation (TM), as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Randy, a certified teacher, will discuss the benefits of TM such as eliminating stress, fatigue, tension, and anxiety while developing intelligence, creativity focus, and memory. Some of the 600 scientific studies in the last 40 years will be mentioned in support of the benefits, most recently in the area of heart health funded by the NIH.
Randy will show how the program has been implemented with at-risk populations such as schools, prisons, homeless, Native American tribes, and most recently veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The program will help participants understand why and how the TM technique works and how it differs from other types of techniques or personal development. Randy will share what makes this ancient technique easy to learn, practice, and still be effective for all. “It truly does not conflict with anything and enhances everything,” says Randy. “Come hear what it is like to take an internal vacation twice a day.”
The Introductory talk will be Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30pm at the W. Melbourne Library, 2755 Wingate Blvd., W. Melbourne. For more information, call 772-539-7557.
