Pure Land Buddhist Fellowship will offer weekly meetings at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brevard beginning Saturday, August 1, from 3 to 4 p.m. The meetings are ongoing every Saturday.

Each gathering includes brief chanting sessions and discussion of the book Journey to the Pure Land: A Five-Step Guide to the Heart of Jodo Shu by Taijun Kasahara. 

Pure Land Buddhism offers a path for cultivating mindfulness, happiness and deeper compassion for oneself and others. 

No previous knowledge of Buddhism is required, and all are welcome.

The book is available on Amazon for $6.48. 

Voluntary donation appreciated. Proceeds benefit the church.
