The Great Blue Heron Hustle 5k and 10k is a scenic trail run through the reconstructed wetlands at the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center. This community event supports environmental education, conservation and habitat stewardship while offering runners a unique opportunity to run parts of the wetlands that are usually closed to the general public. The event will have music, a food truck and a community market with local food and craft vendors. The 5k and 10k are chip timed and the 10k is two loops of the 5k course. There is also a mile fun run that is not chipped. John Bunker Sands Wetland Center is a Texan by Nature conservation partner.
