Whether you have a Lasso of Truth or Magical Wings on your footwear, join us for the 2024 Superhero 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at The Avenue Viera, in Viera, Florida. The event, sponsored by the Friends of Children of Brevard, starts with the One-Mile Fun Run at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K race at 8:00 am. This year's theme is "Wonder Women," celebrating strength, and justice for foster children as inspired by Wonder Woman. The event raises awareness about foster care and adoption, while highlighting the stories of famous superheroes like Spiderman, Superman, Batman, and others, who were adopted into loving families. The event's mission is to bring hope and a typical childhood experience to over 1,000 foster children in Brevard County who have suffered from child abuse. All ages and abilities are welcome. Medals will be given to all finishers. Participants in the 5K & One- Mile Superhero Challenge will receive special race bling. Top school teams, fastest teams, and top male and female runners in various age groups will be presented with awards. DJ Yves, a costume contest with prizes, a bounce house, and many other fun activities will ensure a great time for all!
