CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
Cancer patients, survivors and caregivers benefit from the support of others with similar cancer experiences. Our general cancer support and open discussion groups are for all men and women touched by the disease. Even though you may receive support from friends and family, joining a support group provides you with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to provide you with a profound understanding of what you are going through, because they have similar feelings, worries, everyday problems, treatment decisions, or treatment side effects.
Facilitated by a cancer survivor and social worker, we will also open up the group to find out how YOU are these days, discuss cancer-related questions and concerns, and allow you to gain support from each other. Some months we have a guest speaker on an health or cancer-related topic.
This monthly support group is hosted by Complementary Cancer Care, a 501(c)3 nonprofit providing compassionate and complementary non-medical services that improve total quality of life during treatment and beyond. We offer the tools to connect, support, educate, and empower cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers on their journey to healing.
*Please read and plan to follow our Covid-19 precautions if you will attend:
• Participants have hand sanitizer available to them before and after the event.
• Participants use masks and stay 6 feet apart when moving about indoors; cancer survivors who are no longer in active treatment or those who have been fully vaccinated can remove masks when 6 feet apart in good ventilation/outdoors, but those in active treatment need masks on at all times.
