Sun Salutation Yoga with Kirtan chanting music meditation
Join us for a simple Sun Salutation Yoga Stretch (perfect for beginners) followed by a session of calming music meditation known as Kirtan. What is Kirtan? Kirtan is the act of singing to the Divine gods and goddesses. Kirtan is also known in many cultures as primal sound healing. It can be used to heal, renew, transform and connect internally and externally on a spiritual level. If traditional mediation practices are difficult for you, than Kirtan is an invitation to meditate to the divine sounds, in what is known as Divine Singing. The music is a way of touching the divine through the medium of sound. The practice of divine singing is transformative. As you sing through a chant, ideas of mastery or accomplishment recede, and rather you find yourself surrendering to the mystery of inner growth and transformation. You will find that your voice is not only God’s gift to you, but is itself a manifestation of the divine. Use your voice to lead your spirit to a full meditative state and fully indulge in relaxing with music. Introductory rate $10 so you can experience the clas.
