Superhero Run Saves the World One Child at a Time! The Super Hero Run welcomes cosplayers and runners of all ages and abilities (competitive, casual, enhanced, mutant or otherwise) to participate in the greatest cause this side of the multiverse: abused kids in need. Wearing a superhero or other costume of any kind is encouraged but not mandatory. Runners can choose to enter our 5K or our 1-mile fun run and each participant will earn this super 4″ medal. Super Hero Run race proceeds will be used to help real-life superhero volunteers provide normalcy and comfort to children whose lives have been turned upside down by neglect, abuse and abandonment.

About the Charity Friends of Children of Brevard County, Inc is a long standing charity that financially assists abused children in who have been removed from their home due to unsafe conditions resulting from abuse, abandonment and/or neglect. Brevard County, FL has approximately 1,000 of these vulnerable children. Many of these children leave their home with very few personal possessions and are placed with a relative, family friend, or neighbor. These interim caregivers may not have the financial means to sufficiently provide for these children in a manner that provides normalcy. Those that are not placed with relatives or friends are placed in foster care or a group home where there is even less normalcy. Virtual Strides Partner Event: This event is part of the Virtual Strides Partners Program.
