Lisa Medgansis Offers Neurovascular Integration in Melbourne

Lisa Medgansis, a Melbourne-based physical therapist, offers a specialized form of cranial sacral therapy called Neurovascular Integration (NVI) to help clients of all ages improve overall well-being. Practicing locally since 1990, Medgansis works with infants, children and adults using gentle techniques that tap into the body’s natural capacity for self-healing.

NVI involves careful “listening” with the hands to provide safe sensory input that engages the nervous system. “The autonomic nervous system calms allowing relaxation, improved concentration, breathing and circulation,” says Medgansis. She explains that myofascial restrictions often self-correct during sessions, restoring ease of movement and reducing pain and anxiety. She has used NVI successfully with infants who have tethered oral tissues or torticollis, children with special needs or processing disorders, and adults with chronic pain, concussion, headaches and stress-related muscle tension.
