Live Inspired Brevard is pleased to invite the community to attend its signature fundraising event, Honoring the Journey, taking place at 5 p.m. on June 20 at Hotel Melby in Melbourne. The evening features an inspiring dinner reception designed to celebrate chronic illness survivors while fostering connection through music, storytelling and shared gratitude.

The event opens with a VIP reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m., featuring appetizers and a cash bar, followed by dinner, live music, raffle, silent auction and powerful personal essays read aloud by chronic illness survivors. These stories emerge from Live Inspired Brevard’s annual essay showcase, a heartfelt contest that invites community members to share their journeys through chronic illness. “We are building a space for healing and hope through storytelling,” says Christina Tecson, director of Live Inspired Brevard. “This event is more than a fundraiser—it’s a night of empowerment that reminds us of our strength and our shared humanity.”

Proceeds support monthly cancer and chronic illness support groups, educational programming and wellness initiatives. “We want everyone walking through the door to feel seen, supported and inspired,” Tecson says.
