Dr. Donna Ragona and Cocoa Village Animal Wellness Center announce the fall session of “Mini Vet School,” Saturday, October 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This 4-hour workshop is for kids 9 to 13 years old and allows participants to experience hands-on what it’s like to work in an animal hospital. Students learn the basics of giving an exam, types of surgery, how to read an x-ray, nutrition, animal behavior and types of alternative medicine. Students receive a scrub top with their name, a stethoscope and a mini vet manual.

Cocoa Village Animal Wellness Center is a holistic veterinary practice combining conventional veterinary medicine with integrative therapies of veterinary acupuncture, spinal manipulation, massage, reiki energy works, I-Therm Hyperthermal Therapy, and holistic nutrition.
