Nature’s Spirit Distinctive Aromatherapy owner Doreen DeSerres is returning to Brevard this month only to hold a special Earth Day aromatherapy workshop and to share her specialized knowledge. Doreen, an instructor for the Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy, is offering CEU massage therapy credits through a series of lectures and open discussions.
The two-day accredited basic aromatherapy course covers essential oil production, qualities and chemistry, psychological, cosmetic, and medical applications including massage, skincare, and hair care.
Nature’s Spirit began on Earth day 1988 with the purpose of offering true holistic products to the public. “Real aromatherapy uses only pure, natural botanicals,” explains Doreen. “Benefits of using aromatherapy include purifying and disinfecting the air we breathe, providing intriguing and pleasant scents, and empowering mental capabilities. The spirit of the plant touches the soul, evoking emotions of joy and peace, and eases acceptance of certain conditions. When immersed into a carrier base for the body, these precious plant oils nourish, repair and reconstitute vitality. Real aromatherapy is an integral part of holistic wellness.”
Classes are Sunday, April 3 and April 10; Monday, April 11; and Tuesday, April 12 from 10am-5pm at Owl Visions Shop, 501 Florida Avenue in Cocoa Village. Cost is $275 (12 CEU’s). For more information and preregistration, call 321-632-1221, email [email protected], or visit www.naturespirit.com.
