Baby Shower Benefitting Orphaned Wildlife

Everyone is invited to attend a Baby Shower on Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Florida Wildlife Hospital. This family-friendly event will showcase the new Oxbow Education Area. Attendees will see live animals, play match the baby to the mother animal game, create crafts like photo frames and bird nests, and more. The event will benefit the baby animals at the hospital.

Since 1973, Florida Wildlife Hospital (FWH) has rescued, rehabilitated, and released thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned native Florida animals in Brevard County. Their mission is to keep wildlife wild by providing quality, compassionate care.

FWH is available 365-days-a-year to admit wildlife patients. They care for more than 5,000 patients per year without state or federal funding. FWH is the only facility of its kind in the area. Since most of the wild animals brought to their clinic suffer from injuries or problems caused by humans, they not only aim to help animals in need, but to educate the public on how they can reduce their impact on local wildlife.

To attend, please visit bit.ly/fwhbabyshower to sign up and view the donation wish list. Florida Wildlife Hospital is located at 4560 N. US Hwy 1, Palm Shores. 321-254-8843. FloridaWildlifeHospital.org. Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and after-hours drop-off from 4:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.
