New Cultured Food Class in Melbourne

Candice Klein, colon hydrotherapist and Certified Body Ecologist, and Elizabeth Colvin, raw food expert, have joined forces to offer cultured food classes. "Systemic fungal infection causes headaches, joint & muscle pain, skin rashes, food allergies, digestive problems, ADD/ADHD, autism, and environmental sensitivities," Candice explains. "The Body Ecology Diet is a proven way to clear these and many other symptoms of yeast overgrowth."

The classes help people learn how to be proactive, using proper food choices to cleanse their body of yeast. Cultured foods heal the immune system allowing it to become healthy and energized. Elizabeth and Candice will also share life giving, homemade food recipes such as cultured vegetables and kefir.

Voice Celebration Workshop

An expressive voice workshop for singers and non-singers alike will be held by Deva Premal and Miten at the Kashi School of Yoga. The workshop includes two sections: "Satsang: Meditation with Music" and "Chanting and Voice Celebration".

Deva says, "This workshop is for people who have a longing in their hearts to sing yes and thank you to life and for those who have a desire to open the door to their own inner being and peace." Deva adds, "If it’s been too long since you really opened your voice in joy and sang from your heart, then this is a safe and nurturing environment to connect with the voice without judgment or inhibition."

Deva Premal has sold over half a million albums and has performed for hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide. John Walcott Elected National Qi-gong Board Member

John M. Walcott of the Vero Beach Qi-Gong Society has been elected to the Board of the National Qi-gong Association.  Qi-gong is a healing art and the mother of tai-chi, acupuncture, acupressure, massage and other components of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  The National Qi-gong Association is the primary organization responsible for the dissemination of research information to the public and the standards for training programs for national certifications of instructors, as well as, the primary source for locating teachers of this healing art throughout all 50 states. 

John Walcott is a 30-year practitioner providing classes and training for the Treasure Coast and Space Coast.  He is the founder and chief instructor of the Vero Beach Qi-Gong Society and compiler of The Cloudwalker Mind & Body Healing System.

Grand Opening for Acupuncture Physician

Omega Institute's Being Yoga Conference


Omega Institute's Being Yoga Conference at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Ft. Auction Benefits Domestic Violence Shelter

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Serene Harbor, Inc., a domestic violence shelter is holding a fundraiser entitled "Purses with a Purpose" on Friday, October 12 from 11:30am-1:30pm. The highlight of the event is both a live and silent auction featuring designer purses including brands such as Cole Haan, Dooney & Bourke, Coach, Ellen Tracy, Liz Claiborne and many more. New location for Merritt Island Dance Studio

Right Foot Revelations dance studio has a new location offering larger rooms for parties and group classes as well as more parking. Previously, instructors taught violin and ballroom dancing. They now offer belly dance, kids hip hop, tango workshops with Colette and Richard, group salsa, swing and other dance classes, music theater and voice lessons. Their goal is to provide dance instruction that is different from other local dance studios.

Meditation Workshop in Melbourne

The Yoga Center is offering a meditation workshop for beginners. Linda Morse, Director of the Yoga Center says, "If you’ve ever wondered what meditation is really all about or had concerns over what it is, or is not, then come to this relaxed workshop." The Zen Room under New Management

The Zen Room and its students are pleased to announce Cathy Johnson as new director. Cathy has been practicing yoga for ten years and teaching for six years. Her training includes Ashtanga, Bikram, and Sivananda styles under many teachers including Yoga for the Special Child founder, Sonia Sumar .
