"Clean House" With Guided Juice Fast

Have you ever wanted to "clean house" through fasting but were unsure of how to get started? Appleseed Health Foods is now offering education and support through a week-long, guided juice fast. "This is a physical, emotional, and spiritual journey that can jumpstart many lifestyle changes for you if you so choose," explains owner Rene Maas.

"Fasting can be a powerful way to detoxify and rebalance the body’s systems, and it has been used for centuries in many belief systems as a spiritual journey. There are many good fasting programs across the country, but many are expensive "live-in" programs which cost thousands of dollars," says Rene. The Appleseed Health Foods 7-Day Guided Juice Fast is designed to educate people about the benefits of juice fasting, how to make lifestyle and eating habit changes, and how to prioritize one’s health. "This is not a program of deprivation; it is a program of rejuvenation."

Fasting program cost of $250 includes a 20-item fasting package, fresh juices, books, a manual, and all the classes, guidance, support, and education. The next scheduled fast is October 6th-13th. Appleseed Health Foods is located at 1311 S. US1 in Rockledge. For more information or additional fasting dates call 321-631-1444 or visit www.appleseedhealth.com.

Awesome Alternative Health Expands Services

Awesome Alternative Health is pleased to welcome Leonardo Samalot to the practice. Leonardo offers Biological Terrain Analysis, a technique that reveals imbalances in the underlying chemistry of the body.

Awesome Alternative Health provides high-quality, client-centered healthcare and wellness programs. These programs include the use of acupuncture, oriental medicine, massage therapy, herbal medicine, homeopathy, hypnotherapy, Irlen screenings for learning disabilities, energy work, laser therapy, dietary counseling and therapy, exercise and meditation programs, and now biological Terrain Analysis, or BTA.

The BTA test determines imbalances that compromise cellular functioning, which leads to chronic disease. Stress, not enough (or too much) exercise, too little sleep, and poor diet make it difficult for the body and its cells to maintain homeostasis. Moreover, continued exposure to toxins in the air, water, and environment create additional biochemical stress. Such factors contribute to the development of degenerative ailments and premature aging. Precise assessment and study of the body’s fluids can provide valuable information about the underlying factors that influence the state of our health.

To schedule an appointment, contact Lee in Palm Bay at 321-961-6432 or Jeannette in Melbourne at 321-698-6185.

New Chiropractic Technology Available

New technology used for Chiropractic adjustments is now available in Brevard County. According to Dr. Patricia Wesley, "Some people have been afraid to visit a chiropractor because of the twisting and turning. The ProAdjuster technique addresses that by the use of a computer while the patient sits comfortably upright in a specialized chair." Computer software lets the Chiropractor analyze and treat the spine with great precision and reproducibility. The instrument uses NASA technology to painlessly treat the spine. "Once I understood what this instrument does, I knew that this is what would be best for my patients," explains Dr. Wesley.

Medicare has approved the instrument for use by Chiropractors to treat the spine. The United States Olympic Committee has allowed Chiropractors to treat athletes in the same medical facility for the first time due to the credibility of the Proadjuster instrument. The same sensing technology made it possible to eliminate tile loss during space launches. It has also been used in civil and mechanical engineering environments.
