Thermography on the Treasure Coast

Barbara Thurman, AP, owner of Acupuncture & Natural Healing Center, is excited to announce Thermography Scans in Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach. The Center offers state-of-the-art camera equipment and certified clinical thermographers. “Our thermographers are certified with advanced level training. Sophisticated high definition equipment and advanced training results in more accurate scans and better quality of care,” says Thurman.

Thermography, also called thermal imaging, uses a special infrared camera to measure skin temperature. It is a non-invasive test that involves no radiation. “Heat is an indication that inflammation exists, and inflammation has been shown as a precursor for most chronic disease,” says Thurman. “Thermography is not just for breast screening. Thermal patterns are present in damaged connective tissue, joints, dental and sinus problems, carotid arteries, and the digestive system. Some cancers are formed through a vascular process which causes an increase in surface temperature and may be seen.”

Scans are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 9, with Marla Williams, CCT, at Healthy Habits Massage in Port St. Lucie and on August 26 at Absolute Integrate Medicine in Vero Beach. Upper body, breast and full body scans are available. August special pricing includes a discount of $30-$60 depending on the scan.
